Storm Austin has been doing its thing. Elayne went to Gunwharf to meet up with friends who had travelled down from St Neots to see her (very nice). Except that their journey home has been severely disrupted and may not even now, (23:30) be home.
I had popped to the shop in the morning, and was playing around wit the new microscope camera. I was slightly concerned that the camera mighnot work with my mac, as it had been designed to work with windows, but luckily a new camera app works well with it. I am still trying to get used to it, so I am not quite ready to publish any pictures yet.
I caught the bus into town, and had about 20 minutes spare before being due in the shop. I spent mjuch of that time at the waterfront. The skies were shrouded in very angry clouds, which I got the impression, reluctantly was resisting the urge to rain, especially after the overnight drenching the we have received.
The shop had, let’s just say, not a good day. Takings were well down, and it was definitely the weather that was the main source of the problem. Still, I spent some of the time looking at the books in the shopbefore turning to things in the shop. I’m trying to have a word with the store manager about the books. I would like to organise the book section.
And there you go, just like that, i fell asleep. It’s now 00:04, so the clock ha rteset, annd I start again.
