I think this is one of the biggest sunflower heads that I can remember seeing. It’s growing from one of the sunflower seeds I’ve been feeding the birds. It’s really nice to see it growing. There’s something about sunflowers. They just seem to be so cheerful. We’ve got quite a few of them growing. LoveContinue reading “372 Sunflowers & Projects”

371 An idea, a mini project
This month’s country walking arrived on Monday. I do enjoy reading it, especially when it features walks from my part of the world, which it does this month, it even talks about a pub that I like going to, which is really nice. This issue of the magazine features walks from magnificent parts of theContinue reading “371 An idea, a mini project”
370 Bay Windows and Converging Lines
The thing about bay windows, especially those on the first floor they should be sat in to watch life. I’m not sure how long this building, this window has been here, but I think (I’d like to think) at least a couple of hundred years. I bet it has seen some sights. Not far fromContinue reading “370 Bay Windows and Converging Lines”
369 Astronomy Chairs
OK, I know the header picture has nothing to do with the title, but I like it. We are moving to that time of year, when the evenings are drawing in, getting dark earlier. For me, I have limited time for any kind of observation. I want those observations to be good and useful toContinue reading “369 Astronomy Chairs”
368 The Expanse, books shops & Foxes
This is Covid – the vixen, she has a cub. Every day at about 8PM the staff at the Covid Testing Station feed her. They named her Covid. I went for a walk this afternoon. There was no specific destination, it was just a thing to get out and cover some distance, so it wasContinue reading “368 The Expanse, books shops & Foxes”
367 Bird Tables
We have two bird tables, the second, the one I am writing about today is a cheap one that I bought, that I have never really been satisfied with. The main reasons for my dissatisfaction are that it’s too short, and it’s too unstable. I has a tendency blow over. I’ve looked for a replacementContinue reading “367 Bird Tables”
366/366 OMG – 366/366!!!
I’m really sorry, but this post is completely self-indulgent. For 366 days, apart from 1 time 116 days ago, when I messed up timing I’ve done it, I’ve made an entry every day. I can’t tell you how pleased that I am with that. The timing is correct, I wrote 1/366 on 14 Aug lastContinue reading “366/366 OMG – 366/366!!!”
365/366 The last, but one.
They’ve chopped down a tree on the high street. This is what is left of the stump; I must admit that the tree did lean at an awkward angle across the high street. I can see how it could be a hazard. But, I would also hazard a guess that most people in the townContinue reading “365/366 The last, but one.”
364/366 Enumeration
Having a number in the title has been useful for me to keep track of where I am going. It’s obvious from the title that after this post I am only two days away from the end of Project 366. I can remember wondering when I started it whether I would be able to keepContinue reading “364/366 Enumeration”
363/366 The Waterfront
You’d think that the boardwalk part of this picture would be a waste of space, taking away from the picture. Whilst it doesn’t add a massive amount it is a part of the picture. As is the huge bank of cloud that was delivering some relatively gentle rain over Bembridge on the Isle of WightContinue reading “363/366 The Waterfront”
