I really must try and get a picture of another constellation.
I had to go out at about twenty past 10 as I had forgotten to put the car on charge.
I took the opportunity to take a quick loook at the sky. Bearing in mind that this is out the front of the house. Unfortunately, as soon as I stepped outside I could feel the few drops of rain.
I put the car on charge, and grabbed a quick look at the sky. I knew straight away, that there would be no observing tonight.
I haven’t given any more thought to the telescope situation. Everytime I think about it, I can only think of problems with what I want to do. That obviously isn’t good. What would help me is to get some experience from an experienced observer. Now, the problem there is finding one in Gosport. I have no doubt that they exist, it is just a case of finding them.
I know sommeone, who know someone who is apparently, a very experienced observer. I’ll have to contact them (the first someone) to see if there is any chance of getting intouch with the second someone.
In case that falls through, my next preferred option would be membership of The Hampshire Astronomy Group. The Website doesn’t make it clear how to do that. I’m beginning to think that membership is by invitation only.
The final option will be to resort to social media. I’m not sure how that can go. Occasionally it goes well.
I have a bit of a plan. Let’s see how it goes.
