These two watering cans have been moving around the garden. Over the weekend, they were on the love chairs, but Elayne painted those yesterday, so they had to be moved. They had caught my eye and I’ve just not managed to take the photo, until today. For some reason, the two cans (well, one is metal, the other is plastic – but they are still watering can to me), there’s just something about them that really appealed to me.
I really want to get back to posting on Facebook, so many of my friends have told me that they enjoy reading my posts, that I am humbled. What has been stopping me is my focussing on this blog, and not wanting post on my blog what I am also posting on Facebook or the other way round. What I haven’t been able to do, for some reason is work out what I needed to to separate the two. In reality, once I realised what I needed to do it’s quite easy. But the one rule for facebook, is if I want to do a reasonable post, I have ot go for a walk. Which I did do today.
I had a quick look through the windows of the Emporium, but didn’t fel inclined to go in, just a few shops further down is the Richard Martyn Gallery. Now a few months ago, I managed to embarrass myself in that shop (caused by an arrogance on my part, I’ll say no more). I krept in, siad I’d just like to look at the books – luckily, it wasn’t the same chap that I spoke to previously.. There were some interesting books, but nothing I saw that I wanted to buy straight away. As I was walking past the window that was the cause of my embarrassment (no, I didn’t break it) I looked in to see a pile of the Portsmouth Papers. It was Portsmouth Paper No. 7 that has given me a wealth of information about the siege of Portsmouth in the civil war, there are quite a few that look very interesting. I’ll just have to go back.
I did see something when I carried on with the walk, but I think I’ll probably talk about that in a Letter to Steve (this weeks is already building up, which is good).
Anyhow it turned. into a nice day from a content point of view.
