2079 – Blog activity

Looking back, I’ve realised that it is not far short of a month and a half since I last posted a photo that deliberately includes the Spinnaker. In the past, I could take, even if I don’t post, several pictures at a time.

I want to talk just briefly about a series of posts that I have made in the past and which I continue to work on, these are The Letters to Steve. This is a link to the First Letter to Steve That I did back in February. These letters are inspired by Gilbert White and his book, The Antiquities and Natural History of Selborne. As I’ve said before, I am no way attempting to copy Gilbert, I can quite often drift away from his content, and that is fine.

The important thing is that there is now a thread, linking all of the letters each one contains a link to the previous Letter (except the 1st of course), a link to the index of all of the letters, and a link to the next letter (apart from the one that is currently in draft). So anyone who finds the letters, can quickly locate the first, and follow the thread through to the most recent. I really should have been doing this since I started doing The Letters to Steve, but the longer I left it, the more daunting it became, so I just had to bite the bullet.

Also, there’s Facebook. I keep on meaning to do a daily post, but if I don’t have the material, I don’t feel able to do the post, and what provides the material? It’s what I used to do, a regular walk. I really do need to bring that back. Of course, I may see something on the post that I can comment upon, but when I get home, do more investigation for the evening post. Why am I not doing this?

Just get a grip Bill. You know what to do, just do it!

I just want to write, but I prefer to stay away from controversial topics like politics. I am happy to confess that at the moment, I am writing for me. If you enjoy my writings, and I hope you do then that is all the better.
