Not quite two years that is, since I started being serious about this blog. I’ve just gone back to post No. 1, it was there that I committed to doing the blog for a year. Obviously, I have gone beyond that. Now, I did have a glitch – WordPress has an internal post count. I think it had reached somewhere around 116 when I was a little late doing the post, so the counter was re-set to zero. As you can imagine, I was a little upset with that. Well, since then, It has happened at least a couple more times. I don’t let it happen deliberately but I think I can honestly say that I have not missed posting within any one twenty four hour period.
I think at some point, I changed the commitment to reaching 1,000. Well, I haven’t done too bad reaching here.
Now, I know some of the posts haven’t been too brilliant, and even this one isn’t going to be particularly good. Sorry about that.
The header picture shows the ramps that used to support the Floating Bridge that used to run on chains between Gosport and Portsmouth. It seems that this mornings tide was exceptionally low. It’s interesting to see features like this, and just goes to highlight just how much history there is here.
Gosport really is an interesting town.
