No, no – there’s nothing wrong. I think it’s more of a continuation of last nights post, where I talked about wanting to re-create pictures from the Victorian era. It ties in with my locality project and that involves me learning about the area where I live, both it’s history and today.
I’m not used to doing historical research, so I’ve been thinking about my approach and it really boils down to asking basic questions; the what, why, who, when, where and how questions and building an article or even a vlog around that.
I have a list of places that I want to visit and write about. What I think will make things a bit more interesting is for me to learn a bit about it and try to answer those questions. It only partially helps me in my research goal. I have a couple of books on Gosport that I haven’t really looked at. I should spend a bit of time with them. After all, if I haven’t read them, I don’t know what they can tell me.
I’ve pontificated so much about doing things, it’s not that I’m running out of reasons for prevaricating, I really do need to get on and do things.
