This picture was taken very close to the end of the Haslar Marina Pier wall. The disappointing thing is that I quite like it as a picture, but it’s a symbol of people who really don’t care.
In fairness to Gosport Borough Council, they have a street cleaning service that is really quite dedicated. I often see men out with their trolley cleaning the street and the street sweepers quite often pass me when I’m on Stokes road getting near the end of my walk. They do a good job. When I get the chance, I will stop and have a chat with them and make a point of saying thank you for their efforts.
There are also a lot of litter bins around so their is absolutely no excuse for dropping litter. I make an effort to ensure that I don’t drop litter, it really doesn’t take much effort, and I really don’t understand why people feel entitled to be able to drop litter. It is really annoying.
Sadly, sometimes, you end up with a picture that I really quite like.
