Two pictures today, of scenes that I beheld on my morning walk. Up until fairly recently, I took pleasure in reporting to Gosport Streetscene every trolley that I found abandoned. What particularly incensed, and very much still does are those that I find dumped in the cockle ponds. There hasn’t been one for quite a while. There was one this morning. I reported it. I had a response not long after I sent the tweet I received a response from the confirming they will recover the trolley. Good. The annoying thing is I saw this trolley near the play area next to the ponds, yesterday morning. Almost like it was a candidate, being lined up for dumping in the pond. I should have reported it. Should I have recovered it myself? I can see me being stopped by the police and cautioned for being a public nuisance!
This was after the trolley at the taxi rank. There weren’t any trolleys near the one place where I normally do find them, and there haven’t been for several days.
I can almost understand some people taking a trolley to carry a heavy load home. I’d like to think that if I did that, I would return it to the store after I had finished it. I really don’t understand this behaviour, it confuses the heck out of me
