This building went up in the 1880’s. The shop owner at the bottom was a taylor, he asked for these frontages (I don’t know what the proper name for these are). I have to say that in general, the council does a reasonable job of keeping Gosport looking OK. Their gardeners are clearly dedicated to the cause, and over the last few years, when the hanging baskets go up I have seen the same two chaps tending them during my morning walks. Nice to see.
