Thursday will be an interesting day. I’ve taken a days leave because it’s the first Gosport TEDx Event, and I have a ticket.
I first heard of TED talks several years ago, but it is only in the last couple of years that I learned the TED stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design, but in reality, the range of TED talks is massive and I think most, if not all are available on line.
My interest in TED talks increased significantly when I read Chris Anderson’s book about public speaking and to be quite honest reading from a sceptical position, it really didn’t take me long to become a total convert to TED Talks, and have very much wanted to go to a TED session. When I found out about TEDx from the book, I googled to find out where they were being held in the UK, only to find that one was being arranged for Gosport.
So, here we are. I’ll let you know how we get on tomorrow.
