We went to Claires for Breakfast. I thouroughly enjoyed that, but then, when we got home, and after a 10 minute sit down to allow the food to go down, we got on with clearing the growth out the front. This is a once or twice a year job, and very satisfying when done.
I walked in to town to take a parcel to the Post Office. I think thaat what was left of the market, indicated that it was one of the towns “Special” Markets, when there are a bunch extra stalls and various activites, like a go-kart track. But the thing that caught my attention was a traditional Punch and Judy. It really was nice to see a bunch of kids in front of the stall, shouting at Mr. Punch.
I carried on walking to the waterfront, just in time to see the Mon St Michell sail out, which was nice. A slow, casual walk back up the highstreet, a quick pop into Morissons to pick up some bits and pieces for tea and then home.
A busy day, yes. But a pleasant one.
