We went out for a meal on Monday evening. To the Jolly Roger. I had the Mixed Grill. It was very nice, we all enjoyed our food.
After the meal, we went for a brief stroll along the water front. We were just about to turn around when we saw this Brittany Ferry. I don’t recall seeing it before, so I got on to Marine Traffic to look it up. The Ferry’s AIS showed it to be the Guilluame De Norman.
Guilluame De Norman, or William of Norman – also known as William The Conqueror sails in to Portsmouth Harbour most days every week. What a magnificent gesture of cooperation between two friendly nations.
Of course, there is another way of looking at it, and I really can’t help having a good chuckle over it.
