I think there is one area of Gosport’s services that I think does a pretty good job. Gosport StreetScene. The organisation is part of Gosport Borough Council. I’ve contacted Street Scene a few times, initially it was about abandoned shopping trollies
There are hotspots for abandoned trolleys around town, and I used to report them. I gave up. I realised that I was doing the people’s job for them. I have since up to three of them together, quite a collection.
Other times have related once again with shopping trollies, but this time thrown by some people into the Cockle Ponds. I would contact Streetscene, show them where the trolly was, and it would be gone usually a couple of days later.
But this time is a bit more positive. Streetscene are responsible for the flower beds around town, and I have to say that they put a lot of effort into their upkeep and provide some lovely displays.
even to the extent of the wild patches. From this morning’s walk, it looks like they are preparing the beds for the next round. I shall keep an eye on them.
