I want to write about Dorset and the plans that I have to explore the county, because that is definitely something I want to do.
Particularly from a pre-historic perspective. There are so many sites in the couunty, both small and big, a lot of them sited in beautiful places, I am really looking forward to vising as many of these as I can.
Whilst I am on a site, I would like to make a little video about the place and put it on my youtube channel. I have been watching a couple of people who have been making videos whilst they were walking and the videos were about the walk and what they. I found the videos delightful, but that isn’t what I want to do (unless I see a spectacular sunset, sunrise or vista.
I’m planning to look at the site, set it in a context of its surroundings, try and explore its history, especially if there have been any digs and discoveries. That will mean a fair bit of research. For that, I’m hoping to become a member of the Dorset Museum. They have extensive resources. A couple of hours spent there every so often should do the job.
I’m reading a book at the moment, by Francis Pryor, he was a member of the Time Team, and his book “Scenes from Prehistoric Life” is his interpretation of how people lived in the days of the construction of Stonehenge, and other sites.
Plenty of information to explore and playwith there.
