When I was in town, I bought a couple of books. I shouldn’t have done especially as I haven’t followed the one in, one out principle.
The one book I want to write about tonight is called “Stonehenge” written by Rosemary Hill. I started reading the introduction, found it quite interesting and so decided to buy it.
Having started to read it, it is very interesting. Only within the first few pages, I had this image of Salisbury plain, some 4000 years ago, cleared of trees, a cold wind whistling across, people, settled communities, and then the construction of the henge begins, and the commitment that needs to be made for it.
OK, I have only read a few pages but the way it is written is fascinating. Like a lot of books, I am really looking forward to reading it.
I can feel a re-visit to Stonehenge at some point in the future.
Yes, sorry about the picture, I don’t think it could be much more unrelated.
