Perhaps I should say upfront that I know that ley lines aren’t real (I think I’ve written something like this before but I can’t find it) they aren’t lines of mystical energy – but, wouldn’t it be interesting if they were?
What is it about our brains that drives us in a particular obsession. Even if ley lines aren’t energy paths they could be the old straight tracks that Alfred Watkins identified and wrote about. I could believe in that, if it weren’t the case that we enough Neolithic features that any straight line drawn through the country is likely to identify an alignment.
I’ve done something that I normally wouldn’t dream of doing. I’ve made marks on an ordnance survey map of a part of Dorset. I’ve started marking out certain features; churches, tumuli etc. I’m going to see if I can find my own ley lines. Now, won’t that be fun?
